Funding Co-ordinator

The Campbellville Community Association (DCCA) is a registered not-for-profit organization that exists for the primary purpose of improving the quality of life in Campbellville and the surrounding area, by representing the interests of the community. The DCCA holds a number of free community events throughout the year, as well as spearheads a range of projects in the community. A number of these events, including the large Celebrate Campbellville street festival, and most of the community projects require outside funding support. The Association requires a volunteer to assist the Finance Committee in finding potential funding sources and writing funding applications for various projects.

  1. Stay current with funding deadlines and requirements for current funding sources (Milton Community Fund, Trillium Foundation) already established by the Finance Committee.
  2. Continue to apply to current funding sources.
  3. Find new funding opportunities from government and private sources.
  4. Write applications, including budgets, to various funding sources.
  5. Coordinate with Association committees to determine financing needs for projects and community events.

  1. Attend meetings or communicate with various Association committees to determine future funding needs.
  2. Determine possible funding sources that could be accessed by the Association.
  3. Outline project budget, write funding applications, and assemble the required Association information as support for the application.

  • Must be a member of the DCCA.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and writing funding applications.
  • Knowledge of available funding portals would be an asset.
  • Well-organized, with attention to detail.

Time Commitment:

  • This is a volunteer position. Ideally, we would like someone willing to consider this role for a 2- to 3-year term, and willing to train their successor.
  • Meetings to discuss and outline funding needs for particular events or projects vary in length but are not longer than 2½ hours.  The work commitment immediately before funding applications are submitted is necessarily high, but this would vary throughout the year.
  • Other activities as you determine and wish to do.

This is a new position with the Association.
