Kelso Conservation

Kelso Conservation Area is open year round.  During the summer time, it is called the Kelso Conservation area, and includes many summer activities such as supervised swimming, mountain biking, boat rental, picnicking, camping, hiking, including access to the Bruce Trail.  It has both recreational and natural lands including an 85-acre man-made reservoir.

During the winter time, Kelso becomes the Glen Eden Ski & Snowboarding Centre, and offers many downhill skiing and snowboarding runs for all ages and all levels.

For  outdoor enthusiasts, Kelso is heaven on earth.  Indulge yourself in the following activities:

 

  • Supervised swim at the sandy beach on a 35 hectare lake (no pets in the beach area)
  • Try your hand at fishing for trout
  • Test your mountain biking skills on the marked bike trails that span 16km (mountain biking and hiking trail map available)
  • Enjoy the hike along the rugged Bruce Trail
  • Have fun with rented kayaks, paddle boats, rowboats and canoes, or bring your own
  • Occupy one of the hundreds of picnic tables and enjoy the breath-taking view o f the Niagara Escarpment
  • 19 group campsites for organized group camping

If you are coming from Highway 401, take Highway 25 north to Campbellville Road; go west to Tremaine Road.  Go south until you reach Kelso Road.  Turn right to park entrance.

If you are coming From Highway 5, take Tremaine Road north to Kelso Road.  Turn left to park entrance.
