Knatchbull

William Stephenson, a blacksmith, and John Edwards, a waggon maker, started business there in 1860, followed by the opening of a post office.  The government gave this community its name.

It was here that the Stephenson plow was first made and every farmer had to have one, and now nobody will have one.

Mail always came from Acton to Knatchbull.  With the coming of rural delivery, Knatchbull is only a memory.
