Marketing Committee Chairperson

 

The Campbellville Community Association (DCCA) is a registered not-for-profit organization that exists for the primary purpose of improving the quality of life in Campbellville and the surrounding area, by representing the interests of the community. The DCCA requires someone to lead the Marketing Committee, which develops and implements ideas to help promote the DCCA and the great things that it is doing in the community. We do this with a combination of print, electronic and social media.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Board of Directors and the Marketing Committee members to develop ideas for marketing the DCCA and informing its members of the things that are happening in our community.
  • Chair the Commerce Committee meetings.
  • Lead the team that will keep the DCCA website and Facebook page current and fresh.
  • Look for opportunities to liaise with other organizations in the area that can help promote the DCCA and our community.
  • Work with the other DCCA committees to help promote upcoming events and services.

 

Requirements/Skills:

  • Must be a member of the DCCA.
  • Friendly, positive approach to idea generation, eliciting input and cooperation.
  • An interest in marketing and social media.
  • Well organized.

 

Time Commitment:

  • This is a volunteer position. It is for a 1-year term, but ideally, we would like someone willing to consider this role for more than 1 year.
  • Up to 4 Marketing Committee meetings a year. Each is approximately 2 hours long but will require some preparation time and time afterward to prepare minutes.
  • Approximately 1 hour per week to quickly review or liaise with committee members about issues or opportunities with the website or Facebook page.
