Mohawk Racetrack opened its doors on April 26, 1963, and now offers a one-of-a-kind 7/8th’s mile oval track for harness horse racing after a $2 million overhaul in 1998. The facility sits on 450 acres of land and is open year round to provide stabling and is used as a training centre for local horsemen. During the spring and fall, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, race starts at 7:20pm. The Racetrack offers 850 slot machines, and for those hungry stomachs, the Terrace Dining Room offers a gourmet menu as well as all-you-can-eat buffet.
