The RCMP Musical Ride performed at Mohawk Ractrack in beautiful Campbellville on August 1st and 2nd, 2017 in celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary! The 32 red coated Mounties and their horses were met with thousands of guests eager to see the show. August 1st was an evening performance book ended by standardbreed racing as well as a salute to the 250th anniversary of Horse Racing in Canada and the Town of Milton’s 160th Anniversary.   August 2nd was a family afternoon with pony rides, bouncy castles, face painters, vendors and a dog agility show preceding the feature perrformance of the RCMP Musical Ride.  Campbellville was one of only two Ontario locations selected by the RCMP to perform their Musical Ride in 2017!

Putting on an event of this size took months of planning.  Thank you to the Musical Ride Steering Committee (Chair Liz Lambrick, John Davidson, Debbie Duclos, Garth Essery, Kimberley Fowler,  Cindy Lunau, Kodie Richardson, Jennifer Sibibtt, Trish Walker and Gary Williams) for all your hard work!   A huge thank you to Mohawk Racetrack, Woodbine Entertainment Group, for the use of your excellent facilities. The Mounties raved about the quality of your stables and they were thrilled with the communitiy’s hospitality.

We are so grateful to  all of the volunteers who helped us: sell and take tickets, staff displays, stage the dog agility performance, manage the stable tours and overall ensure the events ran smoothly!   Thank you Lynn Trevisan, our Volunteer Co-ordinator extrodinaire and our volunteers: Alex, Annalise, Carm, Claudia, Devon, Elise, Erika, Joey, Judy, Karan, Kelly, Maddie, Madeleine, Matteo, Olga, Pat,  Patsy, Ruth, Sharon, Stephane, Teddie, Victoria and Whitney.
