Trees at Main Street and Crawford Crescent to be Replaced
Diane Emson, Chairperson, DCCA Beautificaiton Committee - updated: May 3, 2011
The three black cherry trees in the flower beds on the corner of Crawford Crescent and Guelph Line are severely infected with black knot. The Town of Milton will be removing them later in May 2011, and replacing them with another nice shoy species (e.g, Service Berry or Japanese Lilac).
If you would like any more information, please contact Diane Emson, Chair of the Beautification Committee, at Beautification@Campbellville.net.
The Great May Plant Rescue of 2010
Ruth Hull, Chairperson, DCCA Beautification Committee - updated: June, 2010
If you notice a few new plants (especially hostas) spread around the Village of Campbellville, then the Destination Campbellville Community Association (DCCA) Beautification Committee is to thank, along with a few donors and volunteers!
Kelly Dykstra, new to the village in the past year, donated hostas that, when split, gave us over 100 plants that we spread around the village. Combined with poppies and lupin donated by Diane Emson, forsythia donated by Gary Williams, and other plants provided by Linda Smith, the village will be brighter than ever this year. See if you can find where we’ve added a touch of colour.
We hope you come to Campbellville to enjoy the gardens, ice cream and shops! Relax in our parks, where we spent so much of our time last year, sprucing up the area (again, thanks to various donors, volunteers and the Town of Milton). This year we’re working around the Lions Hall, so if you are there for an event, check out what we’ve done! Hope to see you at “Celebrate Campbellville” in June! See www.campbellville.net for more details.
Our thanks go out to these donors, and the volunteers from DCCA who helped us plant all of these plants. If you are cleaning out your garden, please don’t throw the plants out, but give us a call. We’ll come rescue them, and find a nice place for them in the village. For more information, contact Ruth Hull at 905-854-3677 (Hull.Ruth@yahoo.com).

Rememberig 2009 Beautification Activities in the Parkette
Ruth Hull, Chairperson, DCCA Beautification Committee - updated: June, 2010
It was about 1 year ago (May 2009) when the DCCA Beautification Committee started its cleanup of the Parkette.

Parkette at the corner of Main Street and Campbellville Road.

Members of the Beautification Committee (Ian Bowyer, Gary Williams, Charles Parchem, Ruth Hull, Garth Essery and his nephew Jacob LeBar, Mike Sommerville, Audrey Parchem, Diane Emson, Charlie Parchem) spent a warm sunny Saturday morning at the end of May 2009 clearing brush, and weeds.............(Harry Yates and Stu Johnston missing from photo)

The Parkette early in 2010 (“after”) – Thanks to the various donors of plant material, and all the volunteers that put in >150 hours of time in 2009. Thanks also to the Town of Milton for their support (and some spring bulbs and other plants).

After clearing the brush, Stu painted the fence.

And we painted the benches too! Welcome to Campbellville! We hope you enjoy our little Parkette.
