Rail and Bus Service

While in the early years settlers did not enjoy good transportation service, there were trains providing service by 1877 or 1878.  In 1888 a line was running from Guelph Junction to Guelph, and later to Goderich.  Moffat station was built about 1909.  In 1911 another line was built from Guelph Junction to Hamilton.

A bus service made the round trip through the township morning and evening from Oakville to Guelph everyday.  Few municipalities had as good a transport system as Nassagaweya.
